Hi, I’m Sanaya Batcho!
I am a pediatric oncology nurse living in Ohio with my husband, Jake and our two cats, Cleo & Meila. I am a Jesus lover, beauty enthusiast and a travel addict. While I love being a nurse it can be exhausting at times. I needed a creative outlet for myself where I could talk about other things I am also passionate about. Starting Simply Sanaya was an outlet for myself but I also wanted it to be an outlet for other woman all over. I know that life can be really hard and what I found for myself, is that adding a bit of luxury with the simplest things made life a little less hard.
Through my blog I talk about bits & pieces of my life and show how an, everyday girl from Ohio, can make life feel luxurious in the most simple way. Everything I write in my blog I have a real love for. I create honest, original, & realistic content to have you live your best life the best way you know how.

Why did you you start your blog? I started my blog as an outlet for myself to talk about things that make me happy. I work at a job that can be pretty depressing, though I love it, I needed a way to think & talk about topics that put me in a good mood, no matter the situation. Bringing a bit of luxury in my life through fashion, beauty, and travel is a way I express myself in a healthy way.
What is your background? I am Egyptian. My grandpa was born in Egypt and raised my dad there till middle school. My First name is an old Egyptian name that has been passed down in our family. My name means noble and honorable and is pronounced Sa-nay-a
Where did you go to school? I went to college in Columbus, Ohio at Capital University. I majored in Nursing and received a scholarship to play volleyball there…I am 5’10” so pretty tall for a girl!
How old are you? I am 26 years old and was born on Christmas Day…believe me it is not as great as it sounds!
What do you do for fun? I play sand volleyball every week on a team with four girls. It’s a great workout! It’s also just a fun way to play a sport I love while laughing with close friends.
What are you up to now? Currently I am applying for grad school to be a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner. My husband and I are searching for our forever home and maybe start thinking about starting a family!
